Cheltenham Township announced today that applications are now being accepted for the position of Township Manager.
According to the notice, the search is being conducted by the Meyner Center for the Study of State and Local Government at Lafayette College.
“The Township Manager reports directly to the Board of Commissioners and serves as the chief administrative officer of this Home Rule Charter, First Class Township of 37,452 residents,” the notice says. “The Manager administers an annual all-funds budget of approximately $68 million and leads nine departments with approximately 300 full- and part-time employees.”
Acting manager Alyson Elliott was appointed in May 2023 after Robert Zienkowski resigned in October 2022. In January, the township announced the search for a new manager, and in March a special meeting was held to discuss the search and selection of candidates.
