Kiaera M. Briggs, 33, of Philadelphia recently admitted that she acted in a “reckless or grossly negligent manner” when she fatally shot her boyfriend, Harvey Harris, on March 7, 2022 outside a Wendy’s in Abington Township.

Briggs is charged with involuntary manslaughter, a change from the initial charge of voluntary manslaughter. She initially plead not guilty to charges of manslaughter and possession of an instrument of crime.

According to officials, Harris threw a drink at Briggs, she threw a drink back at him, at which point Harris began to choke her from the window of her vehicle.
