Okinii Express Inc., a new Japanese-style restaurant located at 7408 Front Street in the Melrose Shopping Center (Cheltenham Township), officially opened on Friday, October 3.

The location was previously occupied by Da Burger Jawn, which closed in July. Owner Mandy Zhang told Glenside Local their menu items lean healthy.

“Simple ingredients seem to be a trend these days, so we try to serve healthy foods to the neighborhood,” she said.

Zhang said her cousin operates an Okinii location in Virginia, and noted that if the Cheltenham location is successful, she will open a third location in the area.
