A woman was shot to death around 7:40am this morning while sitting in her SUV in the drive-thru lane at the Dunkin’ Donuts in the Melrose Shopping Center on Cheltenham Avenue.

According to police, the SUV was seen with bullet holes through the driver-side window.

Police have not released any details about the victim, but investigators were also seen taking photos of a Ford Focus that was nearby.

Cheltenham Police posted on their Facebook page to avoid the area as the scene is currently being investigated with heavy police presence.
