Kenneth A. Yacovetti III, 37, of the 100 block of Windmill Road in Willow Grove (Upper Moreland Township), was sentenced to 11.5 to 23 months in prison for driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs and crashing his vehicle in Abington Township on December 23, 2023, The Reporter said.

The crash took place along the 1800 block of Edge Hill Road and seriously injured his two passengers after the vehicle struck a utility pole and a tree.

Yacovetti pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance and DUI. Yacovetti must also complete three years of probation consecutive to parole and could be eligible for the jail’s work release program after serving eight months, The Reporter said.

The evening of the crash, police found Yacovetti in the driver’s seat of his 2021 Chevrolet Silverado, a rear seat passenger who had blood on his face and a shoulder injury, and a front seat passenger who was unconscious and bleeding heavily.

Police said multiple sealed bottles and cans of alcoholic beverages were found in and around the vehicle after it came to rest, The Reporter said.
