Jeffrey P. Matthews, 41, of the 300 block of Forest Avenue in Willow Grove (Upper Moreland Township), was sentenced to two to four years in prison for allegedly possessing child pornography, The Reporter said.
Matthews also faces a 15-year requirement to report his address to state police in order to comply with Pennsylvania’s Sexual Offender Registration and Notification Act, The Reporter said.
The investigation began on February 20, 2025, when FBI agents asked Upper Moreland police for assistance in serving a search warrant at Matthews’ residence. Officials said the address was accessing a website for viewing, trading, accessing, and posting child sexual abuse materials.
During a search of the residence, investigators found a child pornographic image saved on an electronic device in the basement. During interviews with investigators, Matthews allegedly provided false information and said that he did not think he had any computers or devices in his basement.
An analysis of the electronic evidence revealed multiple videos and images depicting female children, some as young at eight years old, engaged in sexual acts or poses, The Reporter said.
