Hatboro man plans to walk 22 miles to the Eagles’ home opener in honor of deceased brother

Cole Browne, 28, of Hatboro, announced via TikTok that he’s planning to walk 22 miles from his home to the Eagles’ home opener against the Commanders on Sunday, September 13.

The route will pass through Willow Grove, Elkins Park, and Center City.

“I Apple-mapped it, and it said it was 22 miles, and I’m like, ‘Wait, that’s literally just like a marathon distance,’” Browne posted. “It’s not impossible.”

His initial post has generated 31.7K views and more than 500 shares. As his posts gained more attention, he dedicated the walk to his brother, Bobby, who passed away in 2023 at age 29.

Browne set up a GoFundMe in his brother’s honor which has garnered $2,120 at the time of this writing.

From the description:

My brother, Bobby Browne Jr., lost his life to addiction on December 28, 2023, at just 29 years old. On September 13th, my friend Dan and I will be walking from Hatboro, PA to Lincoln Financial Field for the Philadelphia Eagles home opener in his memory.

I know Bobby would be right there beside me for every step of the way, probably busting my chops the whole walk and unable to hold his excitement to watch the Eagles game. Matter of fact, he’d probably start conversations with someone in every neighborhood and we’d never get to the game lol. As difficult as this journey will be, I know having his memory with me will make every mile worth it.

This walk is about keeping Bobby’s memory alive, raising awareness, and supporting others and families who have been affected by addiction. While also supporting the birds. Go Birds

We are proud to support Be A Part Of The Conversation, an organization that has been a tremendous source of support in our community and continues to help families navigate the challenges of addiction.

Bobby, I miss you every day. I know you will be with me every step of the way. This one is for you. ❤️
