Aurora Stuski, a West Norriton resident, is officially running for Pennsylvania’s 4th Congressional District, which covers most of Montgomery County and part of Berks County.
Stuski is a mother of three and “believes in limited government, personal responsibility, and putting the residents of PA’s 4th Congressional District first”. She describes herself as a “‘fierce Mamabear patriot,’ driven by a commitment to protect families and future generations”, according to her campaign website.
The founder and owner of AAS Appraisal Lab in King of Prussia “understands firsthand the challenges facing local residents—especially seniors on fixed incomes and families trying to build a stable future in an increasingly expensive region,” her website says.
Her campaign’s focus includes:
- Reducing the tax burden on homeowners
- Protecting seniors from being forced out of their homes
- Preserving green space in West Norriton
- Supporting strong, community-centered education
Incumbent Madeleine Dean of Glenside has served the post since 2018. She is currently serving her fourth term.
The Abington High School graduate also serves on the House Appropriations and House Foreign Affairs Committees.
From her website:
With her children grown, Madeleine took the chance to enter public service — something she had long wanted — after studying politics and public service at Penn’s Fels School of Government. In 2011, Madeleine ran for and served as Abington Township commissioner, before winning a special election to the Pennsylvania State House in 2012.
During her six-and-a-half years in Harrisburg, Madeleine was an outspoken champion of public education, healthcare access, environmental protection, equal rights, ethics, criminal justice reform, combating addiction, and ending gun violence. Following the Sandy Hook shooting, Madeleine founded and served as Co-Chair of the PA-SAFE Caucus, an active coalition of legislators and advocates dedicated to ending gun violence.
