Here is the latest from the local municipalities on trash and recycling collection that is being impacted by the snowstorm.

Abington Township
There will be no trash and recyclables collection on Tuesday, February 2nd due to the storm. Trash and recycling regularly picked up on Mondays and Tuesdays will be collected on Wednesday, February 3rd. Trash and recycling regularly picked up on Wednesdays and Thursdays will be collected on Thursday, February 4th. Large item pickups scheduled for this week will be rescheduled for next week.

Cheltenham Township
See below an updated collection schedule for this week. There will be no Christmas Tree Collection on Friday.

Borough of Jenkintown
Regularly collected on Fridays so not impacted.

Borough of Rockledge
Regularly collected on Wednesdays so not impacted.

Springfield Township
The Monday collection route will occur on Tuesday, February 2nd. Recycling on the Monday route will be collected on Monday, February 8th.
The Tuesday collection route will occur as usual on Tuesday, February 2nd. Refuse on the Tuesday route will be collected once the Monday route is complete and as time permits. If your refuse is not collected on Tuesday, please leave your refuse out at the curb for collection on Wednesday, February 3rd.

Everyone is asked to not place any refuse or recycling out until Tuesday morning prior to 7:00 a.m. as the plowing and snow expected to continue overnight could cover the cans.
