On October 1st, 2021, that Tom Mellett announced on Facebook that after 33 years in the business, it was time to retire. He operated the CarStore of Glenside and U-Save Auto Rental on Easton Rd in Glenside since 1988. Although newly retired, Tom stays active focusing on his other passion, charity flying for Angel Flight East. This Saturday, Angel Flight will be honoring him as Pilot of the Year.

Angel Flight East (AFE) is a non-profit that provides FREE flights to individuals that require crucial medical care at distant facilities. Other services they supply include supply delivery to disaster areas and other compelling needs.
