Throwback Thursday: Life is a Lark at Willow Grove Park

I always like to remind people, especially visitors, that our area was serviced by a trolley line that took people from Philadelphia through Keswick Village and Abington to the much-missed Willow Grove Park.

If you’ve ever wondered about the broader width of Keswick Avenue compared to other streets in neighborhood, you can thank the trolley line for that. You can also thank it for Keswick Village, for that matter.

This video shows what people would have found at the end of that line, at least until 1958 when service finally ended. The park itself closed in 1975.
