Elijah Deloach, who was fatally shot Tuesday night inside a 4th-floor Roxborough apartment, has been identified as a senior at Cheltenham High School, according to an update from FOX29.
Cheltenham High School Principal Jimmy D’Andrea told FOX29 that DeLoach (pictured above left) was two weeks away from graduating.
“He was incredibly excited about finishing high school, and he had big plans for the future,” D’Andrea said.
He also described DeLoach as “quiet” and “reserved” with a “dynamic sense of humor.”
The armed suspect involved in the shooting has been identified as Kione Gary, 23 (above right).
A Linkedin.com profile for a Kione Gary in the Philadelphia area shows attendance at Abington Senior High School from 2015-2019.
Glenside Local has left a request with Abington Senior High School’s registrar to verify the profile’s claims. We will update the story as we hear from their office.
Update: According to Abington School District, Kione attended Abington Senior High School from May-December 2018.
