Washington Lane, Cheltenham Avenue to receive stormwater pipe replacements between June 5 and June 16

PennDOT recently announced that stormwater pipe replacements are scheduled on two roads in our area beginning Monday, June 5 and ending Friday, June 16.

Work hours will take place on weekdays from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Drivers are being advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays may occur.

Specific work locations in our area are:

  • Cheltenham Avenue between Paper Mill Road and Cromwell Road in Springfield Township;
  • Washington Lane between Route 309 (Cheltenham Avenue) and Stenton Avenue in Cheltenham Township.

The replacements are part of a larger project to address stormwater management on over 90 state highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.

Highway Materials, Inc. of Flourtown is the general contractor for this $14.9 million project.
