Lynette Smith, owner of the Hatboro-based Nutz About Popcorn, was recently interviewed by Rolling Out, a national media outlet.

What inspired you to start Nutz About Popcorn?

I also work in children’s health care, and for a time it was just really heavy for me. I wanted to do something where I could be creative while also showing my kids about the power of doing your own thing. About nine years ago I started doing my research, and I came across gourmet popcorn. I love to cook, I love to be creative, this is something that I can do. My daughter worked for me, this was her first job. She got to see the behind the scenes, and now she owns her own business, so it worked out.
