SEPTA announces Phase One of Stream Restoration and Flood Mitigation Project in Jenkintown

SEPTA announced that Phase One of their Stream Restoration and Flood Mitigation Project will begin in Jenkintown on Monday, September 19th.

The project will begin behind homes on the 200/300 block of Runnymede Avenue with grubbing, tree removal and grading.

SEPTA provided a notification and a fact sheet to affected homeowners, which can be found here. No work is planned to take place on private property.

The purpose of the project is to control overflow from Baeder Run and reduce impacts to SEPTA assets at the Jenkintown-Wyncote Station.

Crews will be working Monday through Friday between 7:00am and 3:00pm, with possible weekend and overnight work as the project progresses. The anticipated completion for the entire project is August 2023.

Residents may contact Bob Kent, Relations Coordinator for SEPTA, with any questions or concerns.
