Professional Office and Daycare Coming to Switchville

Construction is underway for the last empty parcel at Switchville Crossing. According to Abington commissioner Matt Vahey, “Revere Suburban Realty is constructing a three story office building. There will be a daycare facility on the ground floor.”

This is the final piece of a development that replaced the former Williard Engineering building that closed in the early 2000s as part of the collapse of Enron.

In 2007, the development created a local stir when developers proposed a Shop Rite for that parcel. Residents in that vicinity formed a neighborhood associate first to oppose the project citing traffic concerns and then to consult on its eventual design.
