Plans for the forthcoming Giant grocery store in Jenkintown have apparently been delayed, according to Tom Cormier, a Giant representative.

“Tom called us earlier this week to say that the store won’t be open until the beginning of 2025,” borough manager George Locke said.

The grocery store chain had previously told the borough to expect an opening by Thanksgiving.

“As far as we knew everyone was on schedule,” Locke said. “We don’t know what caused the delay.”
