The North Hills Community Association announced that the North Hills Quick Mart at 2869 Limekiln Pike in Abington Township opened for business last week.

The convenience store took over the former 7-Eleven, which closed in February as part of a 444-store shutdown due to a slump in sales, decreased traffic, inflation, and a fall in cigarette sales. We reported the forthcoming change in May. In June, Chris Platz, Abington Township’s Fire Marshall, confirmed with Glenside Local that a general application was submitted to township officials.

The store’s hours are 7:00am to 10:00pm.

“The owner stated that the store is ready to fill the void from the closing of the 7-11 to supply goods and services to the neighborhood,” the North Hills Community Association told Glenside Local.
