Jay Howard, local magician, chef, and baker, is hosting a grand opening for J’s GourAmaze in Elkins Park (Cheltenham Township) on Saturday, December 20 from 2:00pm – 8:00pm.
The event will feature a “surprise costumed character appearance” alongside an unveiling of the shop’s old-time candy store, retro toys and games, carnival foods, magic supplies, among plenty of novelties and gifts. More details here.
J’s GourAmaze has the area’s largest selection of gag gifts, novelties, and old-time candies and toys.
“Bring the kids and the kid in you,” Howard said, “And don’t forget to take free selfies with my magical assistants!”

Howard spent last week creating a festive outdoor arrangement ahead of the holidays:

“We have the largest selection of gag gifts in the area. It’s a step back in time,” Howard said. “Stop by J’s GourAmaze after your next visit to the House of Magic in Glenside. We’re two miles away and open late.”
