Cheltenham Township will host an exhibition celebrating America’s semiquincentennial from April 3 to July 6 at Keneseth Israel Synagogue (8339 Old York Road, Elkins Park).
An opening reception will be held on Friday from 4:00pm – 7:00pm. Historical readings will take place at 4:30 and 6:30pm, and “From Sea to Shining Sea” will be played by Irina Bakis on the piano from 5:00 – 6:30 pm.
The exhibit features a Cheltenham Township photo essay by Marlene D’Orazio Adler, historic photographs from the archives of Walter Plotnick, objects from the TJM collection, and artwork by artists of the Temple Judea Museum Artists’ Collaborative.
The exhibit is part of Cheltenham Celebrates America 250 and will be open Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm and Sunday from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
