The 7-Eleven convenience store located at 2869 Limekiln Pike in Glenside will be closing on Thursday, February 27, a store associate told Glenside Local.
The convenience store chain disclosed in an earnings report that 444 stores are closing because of a slump in sales, decreased traffic, inflation, and a fall in cigarette sales, CNN reported in October 2024.
7-Eleven has not released a comprehensive list of closing locations, citing that the closures are part of a strategy to close “underperforming” locations.
Other 7-Elevens in the immediate area can be found at 362 Easton Road, 250 S Easton Road, and 1837 Old York Road.
