Multiple crews respond to early-morning vehicle collision in Lower Moreland, six hospitalized

The Huntingdon Valley Fire Company announced that crews were dispatched at 5:15am on Monday, May 5 for a vehicle accident rescue at the intersection of Philmont, Pine, and Tomlinson Roads in Lower Moreland Township.

According to their post, a passenger car and a worker transport van collided, resulting in six patients transported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Crews extricated the driver and one passenger from the van, which was not carrying school students.


Bryn Athyn Fire Company, as part of Fetters Mill Fire Rescue, was on scene with mutual aid from Squad 19, Engine 19, Squad 19-1, Special Service 19-1, Rescue 9, Quint 35, Bryn Athyn, Cheltenham, Montco Second Alarmers, and Tri-Hampton EMS, officials said.
