Moody Jones Gallery of Jenkintown presents Common Ground feat. Eric Pryor and Ernani Silva – Two artists creating visual languages rooted in culture, memory, and transformation

Moody Jones is pleased to announce Common Ground, a two-person exhibition featuring Eric Pryor and Ernani Silva, on view from June 26th through July 31st, 2026, at The Moody Jones Gallery at 319 York Rd, in Jenkintown, PA.

Common Ground brings together the work of Eric G. Pryor and Ernani Silva in a vibrant dialogue centered on culture, memory, and the shared human experience. Though their artistic languages are distinct—Pryor’s layered abstractions exploring identity and the evolving narratives of Black artistic expression, and Silva’s expressive compositions celebrating the rhythms, spirituality, and traditions of Brazil—both artists create work rooted in connection, transformation, and hope. Through color, movement, texture, and symbolism, Common Ground reveals the spaces where personal histories intersect with collective experience, inviting viewers to reflect on the enduring power of art to heal, unite, and inspire.

Eric G. Pryor creates abstract and mixed-media works that explore rhythm, movement, color, and layered symbolism inspired by music, African diasporic aesthetics, and cultural memory. His work reflects a belief in the transformative power of the arts to foster connection, representation, and cultural dialogue. Through both his studio practice and public art projects, Pryor examines themes of renewal, identity, and community while advancing broader conversations around equity and access in the arts.

Ernani Silva uses painting, collage, and mixed media—including recycled and organic materials—to create expressive works centered on emotion, spirituality, environmental awareness, and the preservation of Brazilian culture and identity. Silva believes art is a healing force that brings joy, peace, and transformation.
