Man sentenced for role in gun-trafficking network that operated in Montgomery County and neighboring areas

Emanuel Eduardo Torres, 33, of Philadelphia, was sentenced to two years in prison after he pleaded guilty to illegally transferring four firearms to Scott Michael Grondin, the leader of a gun-trafficking network that operated in Montgomery, Delaware, Chester and Philadelphia counties between January 2023 and April 2024, The Reporter said.

Torres’ charges include corrupt organizations, making false written statements on federal firearms forms, unsworn falsification to authorities and dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities. He was also ordered to complete six years of probation.

Grondin was sentenced 20 to 40 years in prison for orchestrating the purchase and illegal sale of 17 firearms and the distribution of drugs after pleading guilty in February to charges of corrupt organizations, illegal sale or transfer of firearms to ineligible persons, unsworn falsification to authorities, altering or obliterating serial numbers of firearms, dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities, person not to possess firearms, possession with intent to deliver controlled substances and conspiracy.

Grondin’s girlfriend, Bella Skylar Kenna, 22, was also sentenced to 20 to 40 years in prison for her role in the organization, which was dismantled in May 2024.
