Boyfriend-girlfriend involved in gun and drug trafficking ring in Montco and surrounding counties plead guilty, face up to 40 years in prison

Scott Michael Grondin, 43, of Philadelphia, pleaded guilty to orchestrating the purchase and illegal sale of 16 firearms and the distribution of drugs, including methamphetamine and cocaine, in Montgomery, Delaware, Chester and Philadelphia counties between January 2023 and April 2024, Mainline Media News reported.

Grondin’s charges include corrupt organizations, illegal sale or transfer of firearms to ineligible persons, unsworn falsification to authorities, altering or obliterating serial numbers of firearms, dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities, person not to possess firearms, possession of firearms with altered serial numbers, possession with intent to deliver controlled substances and conspiracy, Mainline Media said.

He faces a possible maximum sentence of 20 to 40 years in prison. His criminal history includes a burglary conviction that prohibited him from possessing firearms, according to officials.

Detectives said Grondin solicited others to buy 16 guns for the corrupt organization, then offered the firearms to his gun and drug trafficking customers. His girlfriend, Bella Skylar Kenna, 22, of Philadelphia, previously pleaded guilty to her role in the organization. She faces up to 40 years in prison.

Grondin and Kenna allegedly removed the serial numbers of seven of those firearms and “used straw purchase schemes to meet their goals.” Only a few have been recovered, Mainline Media said.

Grondin and Kenna were among seven people arrested in May 2024 for their roles in the organization. Anthony Figueroa-Marko, Emanuel Torres, Asad Sayed, Felicia McKinnell, and Norristown resident Christopher McNelly were also arrested last year.
