Lucatelli’s Pizzeria is coming to 314 York Road in Jenkintown, the former home of Pizza Wheel.

The pizzeria opened its flagship location in Doylestown in 2022, and opened its second location in Newtown in April.

Ownership made the Jenkintown announcement yesterday, though they did not specify a timeline.

“We’re bringing everything you love about Lucatelli’s, from our 72-hour fermented dough to our scratch-made cutlets and award-winning cheesesteaks, to a new neighborhood,” the post said. “We want everything to be perfect, so we’re taking our time to make sure we’re ready to rock on day one. When our team is ready, you’ll hear it here first. We will say it’s probably sooner than you think.”

Borough manager George Locke told Glenside Local that he has yet to receive any paperwork, though a new (and previously unnamed) tenant has been leasing the space.

“We’re going to reach out and let them know they have to do a zoning use,” he said.

Pizza Wheel permanently closed after being sold by Dan and Chelsea Katz of K to Z Collective in October 2025.
