Lower Moreland Township’s Fire Marshal’s Office has issued a 30-day burn ban effective 12:00am on Friday November 1, the Huntingdon Valley Fire Company announced.

The ban prohibits open fire, including recreational fire pits and firework, and was issued due to the extended period of dry conditions affecting Montgomery County. Updates will be communicated on Lower Moreland Township’s website.

In related news, the Borough of Hatboro also issued a seven-day burn ban effective October 30. The ban prohibits open fires, including recreational fire pits and fireworks. You can direct questions to the Fire Marshal’s Office at 215-443-9100.

Cheltenham Township Fire Marshal’s Office issued a 30-day ban as well, effective October 30.
