Update as of 5:30pm: Abington police said a strong-armed robbery took place at a local business on the 1300 block of Easton Road.

“The suspect is in custody, and there is no threat to the community. Victim sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital,” the update said.

The Abington Township Police Department announced at approximately 5:00pm that a large police presence is currently in the 1300 block of Easton Road.

Montgomery County’s WebCAD Active Incidents shows that a shooting took place at the intersection of Easton Road and Woodland Road at 4:39pm:
