La Salle’s Competition Band wins National Jazz Festival competition, track wins Catholic League Championship

The La Salle College High School Competition Band took first in the L-2 Large Ensemble showcase at the annual National Jazz Festival on Saturday, February 10 in Philadelphia.

Soloist Emmett Sykes received Outstanding Musician honors.

The Lower Moreland Jazz Ensemble received an Honorable Mention in the same event, with soloist Amit Kreminski receiving Outstanding Musician honors.

In related news, the high school’s track team (pictured above) won the Catholic League Championship on Sunday, February 11 at Lehigh University.
