Erin C. Staton, owner of Jewels by Lady Cha Boutique at 2609 Jenkintown Road in Glenside, opened her new brick-and-mortar store on Saturday, May 30.
The shop offers men’s and women’s apparel, shoes, accessories, jewelry, skin care, colognes and fragrances, as well as a corrective fitness component.
“The store is the umbrella for two businesses, but we work as a partnership. One side gets you fit, the other side gets you adorned. We want you to look good and feel good,” Staton, known professionally as Lady Cha, said. “Jewels by Lady Cha Boutique is the retail side. We have lines from Spain and Nigeria as well as special event attire. If you’re going to church, a wedding, a cookout, we have something for you.”

Movement Corrective Fitness, which is run by licensed physical therapist and professional dancer Michelle Olivia Francois, offers Pilates, strength training, and dance conditioning. According to Staton, her sessions are all one-on-one and by appointment.

Staton emphasizes the store’s commitment to civic engagement.
“Retail therapy is a wonderful thing, but we want to give back to the community as well. We currently support United Women in Faith, and we’re hoping to take part in the Center for Women in Montgomery County,” Staton said. “I created a program so that women in shelters can come into my establishment. We set aside funding for them to get something without the expense. We also hope to sponsor three women per year.”
The property was formerly Be Transformed, a wellness center.
