Jenkintown School District suggests mask wearing amidst rising COVID-19 cases

In an email to the District, Jenkintown School District Superintendent of Schools Jill A. Takacs, Ed.D. asked those who work and go to school in the JSD to wear masks for the next two weeks.

Here is the text of the email:

Due to the recent rise in Covid cases, we are respectfully asking all members of our school community to mask while inside our building. This is not a mask mandate; however, a respectful request for masking during the next two weeks. We will require all visitors to wear a mask while in our building for all events including tonight’s concert and Board meeting. The request for students and staff to mask will begin tomorrow. We have masks on site for anyone who is in need. Thank you for your cooperation.
