The Jenkintown Food Cupboard (JFC) has received two new volunteers, Mary and Ernie, and an extra boost of support from the Pennypack Farm and Educational Center and Americorps.
From JFC’s Facebook post:
Pennypack Farm and Educational Center #pennypackfarm#growgiveteach provides us with fresh produce to share with patrons every distribution day.
A few of their #americorps team helped harvest recently along with the rest of the crew and workshares. They have done so much work around the farm getting to projects Pennypack Farms would never have time for and they are so grateful for their help! We at JFC certainly appreciate them all!
JFC has been distributing 400-500 bags of groceries to their patrons on a weekly basis.
If you are interested in volunteering with the JFC, you can check out their options here. If you’d like to make a financial donation, you can Venmo @jenkintownfoodcupboard or send a check to Jenkintown Food Cupboard, 328 Summit Avenue, Jenkintown, PA 19046.
You can also donate sturdy, full-sized brown grocery bags with handles and sturdy, reusable plastic bags with handles. Donated bags can be placed in the labeled bin located through the red double doors closest to Jenkintown United Methodist Church’s driveway at 328 Summit Avenue weekdays from 9:00am to 3:30pm.
