Jenkintown Borough recently announced that due to the pending snowstorm, Republic Services will be providing curbside collection of trash and recycling on Friday morning beginning at 4:00am to allow the entire Borough to be collected before the forecasted storm worsens.
Borough officials ask that residents place their trash and recycling curbside tonight.
Cheltenham Township announced that refuse and recycling collection for Route D, originally scheduled for Friday, January 19, will be postponed until Saturday January 20.
Residents are advised not to place cans out for collection until after the snow has been cleared, but no later than 7:00am Saturday.
The Waverly Road Compost Facility and Public Works Facility will be closed to drop offs on Saturday.
Abington Township officials announced that there will be no trash or recyclables collection on Friday, January 19. The collection has been rescheduled for Saturday, January 20. No yard debris or holiday trees will be collected.
Additionally, recycling collection for Wednesday and Thursday is running behind, officials said. If it is not collected today, January 18, it will be collected on Saturday, January 20.
Upper Moreland Township officials said that Friday’s collection is canceled. Trash and recycling will be collected on Monday, January 22.
Residents are asked to put extra trash in plastic trash bags and place the bags next to your trash container. They will be collected, though officials noted that they will not empty any other containers except for the Township container that has been provided.
Normal trash and recycling collection will resume on Friday, January 26, officials said.
