The National Weather Service has issued, no, not a thunderstorm warning, but a heat warning.
According to the notice we just received, we can expect head index values of around 100 into early this evening and again tomorrow afternoon.
Temperatures will reach into the 90s in the afternoon and down to the balmy mid to upper 70s overnight. Not great sleeping weather.
The heat and humidity will create a hazard for those who spend an extended amount of time out of doors during the heat of the day. Also, the heat and humidity may cause problems for the elderly, especially for those who do not have access to air conditioning.
Please stay cool and drink plenty of water.
