Bob Saget was my first big interview. In my junior year of high school, at the peak of his prime-time TV fame, he agreed to let me interview him for my school newspaper the Abingtonian. As one of Abington’s most famous alums, he graciously and patiently answered my silly questions, sitting in the lobby of Beth Sholom Congregation in Elkins Park. He talks about meeting his first wife, memories of influential teachers, facing anti-semitism in the lunchroom, and his earliest experiences in comedy. Here is the audio in full. May his memory be a blessing.
