James Marlin Jr., a Glenside resident, has launched a GoFundMe on behalf of The Veterans of Springfield Township to raise funds for the annual Memorial Day Parade and Community day event on Monday, May 27 beginning at 9:30am.
From the campaign’s description:
The public is invited to participate in the return of friends and families enjoying the community’s annual get-together. We are proud to remember our Veteran’s bravery, as well as service to the community in their name.

Event Schedule
9:30 Parade starts at the Post Headquarters on Elm Avenue and Willow Grove Ave.
11:00 (following the Parade) Remembrance Ceremony at Veterans Park Memorial Area.
11:45 to 3:00 Community Day activities in Veterans Park lower fields.

About the Wyndmoor Memorial Day Parade
Hosted by the Arthur V. Savage Post 100, the parade features armed service veterans, Springfield’s three volunteer fire companies, girl/boy scouts, musicians, vehicle displays, and more.
The parade will begin on Willow Grove Avenue near Elm Avenue and end at Queen Street and Willow Grove Avenue (near the Wyndmoor Hose Fire Co.). Following the parade, a community day event with free attractions, live music, and food will be held at Veterans Park from 12:00pm to 3:00pm.
