The Cheltenham School District recently announced that four of their high school students have been selected to perform at the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association’s (PMEA) District 11 Orchestra Festival on March 7-8 at Harriton High School.
Sophomores Maram Kennerly (bass), William Edgar (cello) and Adora Abdul (viola) (pictured above, from left to right), and a fourth student, a junior cello player, auditioned and were chosen from a pool of hundreds of students from schools across Bucks and Montgomery counties.
Abdul and Edgar qualified last year. This is Kennerly’s first time qualifying.
The District 11 Orchestra Festival is followed by the Region Orchestra Festival March 21-23 at Central Bucks West High School and the PMEA Annual Conference in Erie in April.
