The family of Wyleek Tinsley, a 19-year-old man killed by Abington Township police on March 6, is asking for the release of police bodycam footage from the shooting, NBC10 reported today.

Tinsley was killed after police responded to a violent domestic dispute at the Rosemore Gardens apartment complex (2300 block of Rosemore Avenue) in Glenside at approximately 11:15am.

Officers had received reports of gunshots and heard an additional gunshot after arriving on the scene, which was followed by screaming from an adult female victim inside, police said.

Officers shot an armed male suspect who was subsequently transported to Abington Jefferson Hospital for medical treatment. Police said that the adult female victim, her child, and the officers involved were uninjured.

Tinsley was reportedly unarmed, according to NBC10.

Two days later, officials revealed that the incident was first reported by an elementary-aged school girl.
