Former manager at Five Guys in Wyncote sentenced for sexually assaulting juvenile employee

Ronald J. Norris, 42, of Philadelphia, was sentenced to 10 to 20 years in prison for having indecent contact with a teenage girl who worked with him at the Five Guys restaurant in Wyncote, The Pottstown Mercury reported.

Norris pleaded guilty to charges of indecent assault of a minor, unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of a minor in April.

The investigation began in October 2023 when a 15-year-old girl reported to Cheltenham Township police that she was assaulted by Norris near the end of her shift. She said that Norris approached her and asked her to meet him in the bathroom, according to The Reporter’s previous coverage.

Once in the bathroom, “Norris asked the girl to see her breasts and when she said ‘no’ Norris lifted the girl’s shirt and touched the girl’s breasts”, The Reporter wrote. “The girl subsequently disclosed the incident to her mother, who then went to the restaurant to confront Norris.”

Norris, who has a previous conviction for sexual assault, faces a lifetime requirement to report his address to state police in order to comply with the state’s Sexual Offender Registration and Notification Act, The Mercury said.
