During Sundays in the Spring and Fall Tookany Creek Parkway is closed to motor vehicles, weather permitting - so that cyclists, in-line skaters, joggers, walkers and others can enjoy the roadway free from traffic. Vehicles are diverted from Tookany Creek Parkway between Central Avenue and Beryl Road from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Through traffic is allowed on Beryl Road. Cheltenham Township's Auxiliary Police, a volunteer group trained in traffic and crowd control, supervises the street closings.
