Claire’s, a jewelry and accessories store with a location in the Willow Grove Park Mall, has filed for its second bankruptcy in less than a decade.

According to Forbes, the chain has closed 700 stores and will close an additional 800 if no buyer is found.

CEO Chris Cramer said the company’s downward trend is due to “a shift away from brick-and-mortar retail, a heavy debt load and ‘macroeconomic factors,’ i.e. tariffs – 70% of its products are imported, including 56% from China,” Forbes wrote.

The company claims to have pierced over 100 million ears since 1978. It exists on the mall’s third floor next to Normans Hallmark.
