Contractor H&K Group, Inc. announced that a 60-yard concrete pour on the West Moreland Avenue bridge in Hatboro was completed on Wednesday, August 19.
The bridge passes over the Pennypack Creek and is located on West Moreland Avenue between Flamingo Road (Upper Moreland) and Broad Street (Hatboro).
Fourteen beams were set a few weeks prior to the deck pour, according to the contractor’s announcement.
“The new bridge has a longer and wider footprint to better accommodate vehicle and pedestrian traffic,” H&K said in a post.
Demolition of the former bridge began in January. The project is expected to be completed by December 2027, according to a county notice.
