Elijah Parker, 28, of Elkins Park, has been charged with murdering a 71-year-old mechanic and business owner on August 14, 6ABC reported.

According to their coverage, Parker shot and killed Russell Vialva outside his business, AI Plus Auto on Ogontz Avenue, which was celebrating its grand opening at the time.

A witness said that the incident stemmed from a dispute over repair work and that Vialva was shot five times. His son, who works as a mechanic at the shop, witnessed the shooting, 6ABC said.

Vialva’s family and friends gathered Friday night to honor him.
