Cheltenham to host town hall meeting on August 28 to discuss Friday evening’s firearm incident at Abington Senior High School

Cheltenham’s United Parents Group has announced that superintendent Dr. Brian Scriven and Mr. Jimmy D’Andrea, Cheltenham High School’s principal, will host a town hall meeting on Monday, August 28 from 6:00pm – 7:30pm in the high school’s Little Theater.

The meeting will address the incident that occurred during the Varsity football game at Abington Senior High School on Friday evening.

From UPG’s Facebook post:

This is an opportunity for students, families, and community members to from the administrators on this topic and ask questions. While students are invited to attend tonight, there are also going to be grade-level townhalls held for high school students during the school day.

Attendees for tonight’s townhall are asked to park behind the school near the tennis courts and enter the building through the New Wing (entrance across from the tennis courts).
