Cedarbrook student chosen to perform winning monologue at Philly Young Playwrights’ annual festival

Sylvie Lotze, a student at Cedarbrook Middle School, was recently chosen for the Philadelphia Young Playwrights’ annual playwriting festival for her monologue, “No Turning Back.”

Lotze’s monologue is one of only five pieces chosen and will be performed five times at Temple University’s Randall Theater between October 12 – 21.

“No Turning Back” follows a man who finds out that his favorite ice cream flavor—the Royal Reese’s Brownie Blizzard—was taken off the Dairy Queen menu and goes ballistic.
