Carminati Creamery, 448 N Easton Road in Glenside, announced the location’s closure on Saturday, August 30, two days short of its seventh anniversary.

The creamery’s co-owners, Darin and his wife, Amy, said the decision will allow them to focus on the Jenkintown location.

“We just want to say a huge thank you for all the love and support you’ve shown us here in Glenside,” ownership said in a post. “From day one, you’ve welcomed us in, shared so many smiles, and made this shop feel like home. We can’t tell you how much we’ve appreciated every visit, every conversation, and every scoop we’ve shared together.”

The post notes that “Having two shops has been a big challenge” and that “we’re moving everything” to the shop at 740 Yorkway Place.

The Jenkintown location first opened in April 2024. The creamery announced plans for a second location in June 2023.
