Carminati Creamery in Glenside is looking to open a second location in Jenkintown this year.

The creamery, which has been at 448 N. Easton Road for the past five years, expects to open at 740 Yorkway Place.

“We’re working on an EDU release for them right now. It shouldn’t be that lengthy of a process,” Borough Manager George Locke said.

“We’re hoping to open by mid-September at the latest,” Carminati’s owner said. “We’re very excited to get over there, and we want to make sure that everything’s being done right.”
