Beaver Hill Update: Alleged Domestic Violence Leaves Woman Hospitalized

According to Jenkintown Chief of Police Albert DiValentino, at around 5 AM, a “domestic situation” led to violence, putting a woman in the hospital. Her boyfriend allegedly beat her while intoxicated very early this morning.

The man locked himself in the apartment and has not responded to repeated requests by police to come out. Because he was known to have weapons, the Montgomery County Tactical Unit was called to the scene. Also outside of Beaver Hill West are units from Jenkintown, Hatboro, Cheltenham, and Abington.

A SWAT armored vehicle has taken up position behind Beaver Hill West and has its gun pointed toward an apartment on the upper floors.

SWAT team members were just seen walking into the building’s front door on West Avenue. More as this develops.
