The Abington Township Police Department announced that an assault involving a knife at the Willow Grove Park Mall took place at approximately 2:30pm today.

Police told NBC10 that a man stabbed a woman near a jewelry store and then fled through the Bloomingdale’s store before being spotted near a bus stop on Moreland Road and Park Avenue.

Police said the suspect is in custody and there is no threat to the community. The victim sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital.
