The Abington Police have released information pertaining to an armed robbery that occurred on December 13, 2021 at 10:02 PM, at the 3000 block of Mt. Carmel Avenue in Abington.

The suspect robbed a couple while they were pumping gas and brandished a handgun during the incident. The suspect made off with one of the a wallet, a purse and also stole the victim’s vehicle to make his escape, fleeing northbound on North Hills Ave.

The suspect was described as an African American male in his mid-to-late 20’s, with a medium build, approximately 5’ 10” in height.  He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a navy-blue shirt underneath, black sweat pants, black sneakers and a mask.
